Why Do I Need My Dog's Attention?

Just imagine having a dog that hangs on your every word - no longer fighting for their attention, rather struggling to get rid of them!

What about a dog with a super-charged recall?

These simple games will help to strengthen your bond with your dog, and help develop a relationship where they want to train anywhere and everywhere.

  • No need to reach for better treats - learn how delivering treats in different ways can turbo boost your training sessions.
  • Don't make the mistakes I did, resulting in a dog that didn't want to train with me.
  • No more wandering off sniffing, interested in anything but you.
  • This isn't just about throwing food for your dog instead of feeding it to them - these are strategic games that have specific uses for different types of training.

Five Games to Transform Your Training

  • Not that one - learning that delay is worthwhile
  • Ready, Go! - starting to learn to wait for a release
  • Chase - let's get moving!
  • Get it bowl - an option for building distractions into training
  • Reverse luring - a great way to build duration

Meet Your Trainers

Sara has been involved in training dogs for over 25 years.  Whilst initially she was involved in agility, she has expanded her skills and knowledge extensively over the years.  Her particular passions include foundations, reinforcement strategies and scentwork.

Sara is a qualified canine hydrotherapist and Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer (CPCFT).

Her training philosophy is best described as ‘Do No Harm’, and focuses on positive reinforcement-based training that is adapted to each learner.  She aims to apply this to both people and dogs.  Sara is ably assisted in all her training by Ripley, a six-year old working cocker spaniel.  He is a big reason that she has significantly developed her training skills over the last few years!
