I will also explain why dogs indicate off source, the importance of reinforcement timing and delivery, how the strength of odour can affect their response and introducing a number of games to build value for going to source.

Meet Your Trainers

Sara has been involved in training dogs for over 25 years.  Whilst initially she was involved in agility, she has expanded her skills and knowledge extensively over the years.  Her particular passions include foundations, reinforcement strategies and scentwork.

  Sara is a qualified canine hydrotherapist and Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer (CPCFT).      

Her training philosophy is best described as ‘Do No Harm’, and focuses on positive reinforcement-based training that is adapted to each learner.  She aims to apply this to both people and dogs.  Sara is ably assisted in all her training by Ripley, a seven-year old working cocker spaniel.  He is a big reason that she has significantly developed her training skills over the last few years!  She has also recently been joined by Peak, a one-year old English springer spaniel.
